The Abai Journal of Biological Sciences (AJBS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international scientific journal dedicated to publishing original research in the field of biological sciences. Only original works that demonstrate scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance, and contribute to the advancement of modern biological science are accepted for publication. Founded in 2026, the journal is published by Abai National Pedagogical University. Its mission is to promote the development of biological sciences by publishing results of fundamental and applied research on relevant scientific issues.

Types of Articles
The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
Original Research Articles — original scientific papers presenting the results of completed fundamental or applied research;
Review Articles — review papers providing critical analysis and synthesis of current scientific achievements;
Short Communications — brief reports on new, preliminary, or limited but scientifically significant findings;
Methodological Articles — papers describing new or improved methods, approaches, and tools in biological research.
All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review and must comply with international academic standards. They are expected to demonstrate scientific novelty, originality, and relevance to the global scientific community.
Publication Frequency
The Abai Journal of Biological Sciences (AJBS) is published quarterly (four issues per year) according to the following schedule:
- Issue 1 — by March 30;
- Issue 2 — by June 30;
- Issue 3 — by September 30;
- Issue 4 — by December 30.
All articles undergo mandatory peer review and editorial processing and are published only after approval by the editorial board.
